5. Update or Reinstall Audio Driver

Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause sound issues.

Steps:

  1. Right-click This PC → Manage.

  2. Open Device Manager.

  3. Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

  4. Right-click the audio driver → Update Driver.

  5. If not fixed, Uninstall Driver and restart the computer.

A faulty port may cause no sound.

Steps:

  1. Try connecting speakers to front audio port.

  2. Try rear audio port.

  3. Test with headphones.

7. Run Windows Troubleshooter

Windows includes a built-in audio troubleshooter.

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.

  3. Run Playing Audio Troubleshooter.

8. Check BIOS Audio Settings

If sound is disabled in BIOS, Windows will not detect audio hardware.

Steps:

  1. Restart the computer.

  2. Enter BIOS Setup.

  3. Ensure Onboard Audio / HD Audio Controller is Enabled.

9. Test with Different Speakers or Headphones

If none of the above steps work:
